This thesis study questions the relevance of fashion shows and examines why audiences favour shows beyond the typical runway structure. It explores how viewers seek conscious storytelling ― an informed narrative during presentations of fashion collections. The topics discussed analyze the shift towards hyper-media consumption, globalization and challenge the fashion industry’s social and environmental responsibility.
